I am a lifestyle blogger who lives on a budget. I share how I save or use coupons in everything I do. I don't like to pay full price for anything. This reflects in everything I do from creating simple DIY projects around the home and garden to making sure my family and dogs have everything they need.
I love pecan pie. It is one of my favorite kind of pies come fall and winter season to eat. It is so good to eat right after coming out of the oven, sitting outside and looking at the sky. Here is simple recipe to make for your family to enjoy. Pecan Pie : ~~~~~~~~~ Fills a single crust 9 inch pie 3 slightly beaten eggs 1/4-cup molasses /4-cup corn syrup 1/3-cup brown sugar 1/3-cup granulated sugar 1/3-cup melted butter or margarine 1-tsp vanilla 1 1/4-cup pecan halves or chopped macadamia nuts For filling, combine eggs, molasses, corn syrup, sugars, butter, and vanilla. Mix well. Stir in pecans. Place in pastry lined pie plate. To prevent over browning, cover edge of pie with foil. Bake in a 350* oven for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake another 20-25 minutes more until knife comes out clean. Cool on wire rack. Refrigerate 2 hours before serving. I usually use a store bought pie crust.
